KRONCK

DIRECTORS DUO
KRONCK is transcendental hope & electrical seat heating at the same time. KRONCK that’s also Jessica Benzing & Maximilian Gerlach, a directing team from Germany. Both of them have never sat in the last row of the bus and were unusually dressed by their parents in the 80s.

Because of that and their common interest in film, art and potato printing, they joined dark forces and studied at the University of Film and Television Munich where they directed their first commercial for Sony Ericsson.
They liked it and others did too, gave them awards, so they went on directing several commercials and music videos that won prizes all over the world like the Edi, which is – as far as they’ve been told – the Swiss Oscar… just that it isn’t for features and it isn’t the Oscar.

Since then, they are well known for their young and dynamic style, authentic casting, eye-catching visual language, a lot of weird stuff, luminous humor, great choreographies (Jessi is a little pro in dancing) and after set parties (Max is a little pro in finding great places and people to party with).

KRONCK has a very soft & squishy spot for almost everything that’s visually thrilling, music-driven or plain absurd.
If they are not on set, they spend most of their time treasure hunting with their daughter or visiting the world’s most random places.

KRONCK speaks German and English fluently, some Spanish, a bit of French and even some Latin what helps a lot when it comes to time travel issues.
